Just as when you go to the mountains in winter, you need to carry energy food, water, extra battery charger, basic first aid kit, extra warm clothes, etc. When you go abroad to start a business or freelance activity, you should check your backpack well to reduce the chances of failure and deal with the possible problems you may encounter once you arrive in your destination country.

In this TIP I will refer to the basic and necessary items for our personal backpack, in another TIP I will talk about our company backpack, that which we need to carry for our business adventure/excursion to reach its destination.

BASIC AND NECESSARY FOR OUR BACKPACK

1. Accommodation. Although it is a truism, you should decide what type of accommodation you want for your stay, and check the prices on real estate portals in the destination country to avoid unpleasant surprises when you arrive.
2. Economical mattress. Obvious too, but essential. If you project your mattress with the pattern of your country of departure, you can make a mistake. Knowing the cost of living in the destination country is essential.
3. Socio-economic and health context. Who would have thought a year ago that health would be a determining factor, but now it is. Knowing the measures in place and the requirements both for entering the country and for your stay once you arrive is fundamental at this time.
4. Bureaucratic formalities. Every country is different and has its own rules, your ID card or passport will allow you to enter and leave the country, but it will not allow you to open a bank account in Ireland on its own, for example, or simply register with the Revenue.
