ACCREDITATION OF MENTORS WHO ACCOMPANY ENTREPRENEURS
Accreditation of mentors
Accreditation of mentors is a process in which a mentor's competence to perform his or her role effectively is verified. The accreditation issues mentorDay for professionals who pass the mentoring programme.
There are different types of mentoring accreditation, some of which include:
- Experience-based accreditation: Awarded to those mentors who can demonstrate a successful track record in business or in their area of expertise.
- Education-based accreditation: Awarded to those mentors who have completed the mentoring training programme and have demonstrated competence in the area.
- Evaluation-based accreditation: Awarded to those mentors who have been evaluated by their mentees and/or by a committee of mentoring experts and have demonstrated competence in the area.
Although mentor accreditation is a voluntary process for each person, it is highly recommended to be a good mentor, but it is required by mentorDay before matching with entrepreneurs.
With the accreditation of mentors we improve the quality of mentoring offered to entrepreneurs, increase the confidence and credibility of mentors, and promote best practices in the field of mentoring.
At mentorDay we offer an accreditation programme for new mentors that provides them with the skills and knowledge necessary to help entrepreneurs at different stages of business growth.
The accreditation programme is specifically designed for mentors who have little time available and need to acquire the necessary skills quickly and efficiently.
One of the advantages of the mentorDay accreditation programme is that it can accredit mentors in different countries and with different cultural backgrounds. The programme does not require mentors to have previous mentoring experience, as they are provided with the training and support necessary to develop the skills and competencies needed to be an effective mentor.
The accreditation programme focuses on train mentors in the key areas of mentoring, such as setting clear objectives, effective communication, feedback and monitoring mentee progress. The final objective is equip mentors with the necessary skills and knowledge to guide entrepreneurs in the process of growing their businesses and help them achieve their goals.
THERE ARE OTHER ORGANISATIONS THAT ISSUE REGULATIONS ON HOW MENTORS SHOULD BE ACCREDITED, AMONG THEM:
- ICF (International Coaching Federation) (+).
- ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) (+).
- CMI (Chartered Management Institute) (+).
- AoEC (Academy of Executive Coaching).

In summary, the mentorDay accreditation programme is an excellent opportunity for those who wish to become effective mentors and support entrepreneurs at different stages of their business growth. We offer flexible training tailored to the needs of each mentor and provide them with the necessary support to help them succeed in their mentoring role.
