• You should avoidwhen the documents are sent via a bank (collection or documentary credit), it should be avoided as far as possible to have to send a set of the documentation to the buyer, either directly or together with the goods.

• To be taken into account: the necessary documents will depend often of the import and export regulations of the countries concerned.

Both buyer and seller must know in advance what documents are required in their country.

In a letter of creditthe seller must make sure that the buyer is willing and able to provide the documents that will be required and that you can provide them in the form and with the stipulated details.
