Entrepreneurial overconfidence bias
Although easy to confuse with optimism bias, they are not at all the same thing. This is a bias that leads us to give our predictions, capabilities, judgements or ideas too much weight compared to what they really are.
This bias is the responsible for many entrepreneurs deciding in the first place to launch businesses for which they are not really prepared, (Who among us has not said "If I had known how complicated it was going to be, I would never have done it").
Along with over-optimismThese are two of the biases that most define us as entrepreneurs... and, although they are not bad, it is enormously important to be able to be attentive to them and, above all, to contrast our assessments with a more sensible third party (a good co-founder and mentor comes in handy here!!!).
