Entrepreneurial knowledge curse bias
This is a bias that makes it very difficult for a person who is better informed about an issue to analyse or understand a situation from the point of view of a less informed person.
One of the areas where this bias most affects us entrepreneurs is when it comes to attributing value to our product or service (for example, when we have to put a price on it) or even worse, by unwittingly complicating negotiations with an investor: if you currently have no other investment options but the investor does not know this, it is easy that instead of making a "clean" negotiation with the investor, mentally start from a situation of weakness and achieve worse results than you could possibly achieve.
The only way to overcome this bias is to talk to more customers in the case of price or more potential investors in the case of investment, to get a realistic view of how the other side perceives our situation.
