USING HUMOUR AND PARADOX IN MENTORING

Use humour and paradox. The latter is a great didactic resource, but care must be taken to use it only with empathy, in the right context and climate, and with people with a sense of humour.

For example, when the entrepreneur seems overwhelmed by a concern and we want to de-dramatise by conveying our view that the problem is not so important, we can exaggerate: "wow, it's terrible, where are we going, I don't know how we're going to cope with it!

Grimaces in circles:

We stand in a circle, and the one who starts the game passes the most bizarre grimace he can think of to the one on his right, and this one to the one next to him, and so on until he gets to the first one.

One by one we go through the round of ridiculous gestures and I can assure you that the laughter is guaranteed, and as we all know, laughter is contagious, and produces a binge of happiness.

Pillow belly:

To be done in a group. Everyone lies on their side on the floor, resting their head on a partner's abdomen. Form a wheel so that everyone is equal. One starts to laugh out loud. The laughter is transmitted by contagion and by feeling how the stomachs move when laughing.

Danceable laughter:

To be done in a group. The couples dance in pairs to happy music chosen by the guide, while they laugh and laugh. They change partners without stopping laughing.

Tap tap tap:

To do in a group. Walk around the room aimlessly and without stumbling, but touching someone's shoulder, while laughing out loud. You must constantly change the person you are touching, but never leave without touching anyone's shoulder.

Toe tip:

To do both in a group and alone. Stand on your toes and raise your arms at the same time laughing loudly with the syllable "JA". Hold for a few seconds and release both arms all at once and step normally. Repeat the same with all "JE", "JI", "JO" and "JU".

Lonja:

To do either in a group or alone. Lean your body forward, trying to put both open hands as low as possible. Hopefully touch the dream with them. Straighten up with your arms outstretched saying "looooooon" and when they become vertical, continue the movement, but also throwing your head back and laughing loudly with the syllable "JA".

Meeting:

To be done both in a group and as a family. Choose a family member or friend and go up to them, look at them as if recognising them from another time, and suddenly say "Friend!" and hug them warmly, saying "Hey, it's been a long time!

Then he looks at him and says: "Do you remember Fulanito(a)'s party?", and starts laughing as if the memory is very funny.

Keep touching and hugging each other and laughing uncontrollably until the other is laughing too. Talk a little bit inventing memories and say goodbye.
