This entrepreneurial competence is why you have to be able to make promises and, in addition, comply with them under the conditions and within the timeframe that have been established.

This competence is based on congruence and honesty and consists of three distinct phases

1. Pledge

An act in which we generate an expectation in the person who is going to receive the commitment, bearing in mind that the promise must be born of our freedom and not of imposition.

2. Process

Act in which the promise is given form. It involves effort, perseverance and sacrifice.

3. Full compliance

The final step being the act of delivering what we have promised and, therefore, where the promise ends.

We must bear in mind that in order to fulfil commitments we must avoid extremes, i.e. inflexibility and disconnection with other situations and, at the same time, we must avoid constantly compromising.

Therefore, entrepreneurs with this highly developed competence are people who make personal sacrifices and go to great lengths to keep their promises. They take ownership of any problem that arises in the company and, finally, they are people who put good long-term relationships before immediate profits.

Practice this competence with your partner, friends or family in everyday situations, seeking to positively surprise them by exceeding their expectations. For example, meet at a time when you know you will be able to arrive a little ahead of time.
Do a task at home that is usually done by someone else.
