The syndrome of Münchausen is a psychological disorder in which the sufferer exaggerates or invents an illness or injury. It can also compulsively stimulating a disease existing physical or mental health problems, to aggravate them and to seek medical attention.
Labour münchausen" (ML) entrepreneurs are people who manufacture or organise conflicts solely for the purpose of resolving them. The aim is to gain notoriety and make a name for oneself. social image within the company.
Outside the work environment, they are people with severe emotional problems who seek social recognition through their ability to care for their dependants. Within a work team or a company's workforce, it would be those workers who are labelled as "saviours of the company.
People who are very involved with the issues, usually entrepreneurs that devote 'too much' time and resources to resolving a conflict situation. Moreover, they do so in a conspicuous manner and by reporting achievements to the rest of the promotion team.
But if we analyse the situation in detail, we may find, in some cases, that the 'saviour' himself is part of the source of the problem.
