Peter Pan Syndrome

PETER PAN SYNDROME

Accelerate your business with these expert tips on the "Peter Pan Syndrome" - take a look and discover this TIP!

Entrepreneurs with the Peter Pan Syndrome are those who they are always starting out without taking the final leap. They always find a reason not to go out and sell to real customers.

As time goes by, the height of the trampoline gets higher and higher, and they feel more and more vertigo...

Stage fright is increased by fear of failure. The longer it takes them to go out and sell, the more they fear customer rejection.

Some entrepreneurs in postureo they are only after the prize, They enjoy being entrepreneurs, they hype their business projects, they have been living off the story for many months, even years, when, in reality, they have no more than 2 clients, to whom, moreover, they have no more than 2 clients, They are barely billed a couple of euros.

Aspirations of dreamers who live in a halo of fantasy while supporting themselves with grants, subsidies, prizes or whatever they can beg for as long as they can.

They are not lacking in enthusiasm, but it seems that they are afraid to jump into the pool in case the water is colder than they are used to. Or worse still, in case, despite all the recognition, demolab and other goodies, it should turn out that they can't actually swim well enough not to drown. This type of profile suffers from the so-called "Peter Pan entrepreneur syndrome".

That encouraging an entrepreneurial spirit in society is a good thing, I don't think we need to justify it. That we all need support at some point in time, neither. That no one is born learned, even less so, so what's the problem?

The problem lies in the perversion of the system. When the nest they offer us is so warm and gives us so much security that we don't want to take the leap and fly. When accelerators, incubators, technology parks (many managed as real estate) are created... manufacturing projects that, for the most part, die in the process or face the real world as soon as they are confronted with it.

Without rigorously and realistically analysing whether the need to be covered could be solved by the construction of such a cool building or whether there were other simpler and more effective solutions.

Yes, there are a lot of "Peter Pan entrepreneurs" who do not want to take the leap. Entrepreneurs who have reached a point where they have lost the sense of their initial start-up. Those who drag out the deadlines, stretching their time in the nest as far as possible.

Those who spend more time attending events and courses than looking for clients. Those who string together analyses, studies, plans... with the excuse that they are not yet ready.

If you are not ready after years of analysis, you will never be ready. Don't waste any more time.

Meanwhile, quietly, in the back room, there are thousands of micro-SMEs and freelancers, breaking their backs every day, around the clock, to offer their products and services. Quietly, without making a fuss, focused on working hard every day to get and keep customers to sell their products and services to. With no help other than the early morning coffee and the support of their families in the form, above all, of putting up with the hours away from home.

For those there are no prizes, no photos, no postureo. They are not glamorous enough. But they get a better reward, the fruit of their perseverance and effort, which is the fact of to see their business succeed and help support their families. The reward for a job well done.
