They help categorisation of content and are more general. They help positioning and reach. A good hashtag should reflect the category of the post, establish what you are talking about and have the highest possible search volume to maximise your reach.

  • TREND

These are the trending topics on Twitter or Tik Tok challenges. This includes those that also refer to specific days. In this case, the tags are given, so the company's job is to analyse which trends are most convenient for it in order to join them in the most natural way possible.

    • FOR EXAMPLE: 
      • #BlackFriday
  • GENERICS

They are used on platforms to maximise the reach of the post and impact more users. They may not be related to the brand at all.
